Type C ambulances, also known as advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, specifically transport patients who require advanced medical care and constant monitoring. They contain sophisticated medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, vital signs monitors, defibrillators, and other support devices.

Additionally, Type C ambulances have more space to allow the medical team to work efficiently during transport. The medical team typically includes nurses and doctors specialized in critical care. These ambulances are especially useful for situations such as transferring critically ill patients between hospitals or attending to severe emergencies.
