WHO AND US
In 2023 September, our cooperation with WHO (World Health Organization) started. In order to provide immediate healthcare help to those in need in Ukraine, WHO and AmbulanceMed started to work on 23 Box-Type Ambulance manufacturing.
WHO IS WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION?
Founded in 1948, WHO (World health organization) is the United Nations agency that connects nations, partners and people to promote health. WHO leads global efforts to expand universal health coverage. They direct and coordinate the world’s response to health emergencies.
OUR PROJECT COOPERATION WITH WHO
With the aim of WHO and expertise of AmbulanceMed in ambulances, the manufacturing of the ambulances started immediately. The main aim of the project was to send advanced Intensive Care Units to Ukraine and provide help support in the warzone and limited-sourced areas.
OUR MANUFACTURING AND QUANTITIY FOR WHO (World health organization)
The Intensive Care Units were built on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis and their design process aimed to give as much space as possible to healthcare staff that will be using the ambulances. To send the best help possible, the ambulances were manufactured with Crash Test Certificate that provides best quality for the ambulances and mobile units. With each step the confirmation of WHO was received, and necessary changes were made to make the ambulances durable for the climate of Ukraine.
WHY MERCEDES SPRINTER FOR AMBULANCES?
The reason Mercedes Sprinter was selected for these Intensive Care Units was their utmost quality primarily. Since Mercedes is a quality-proven brand worldwide for durable and long-lasting ambulances, our choice for our Intensive Care Units was Mercedes Sprinter as well. By working with strong and well-known brand, our intention is to help people in the restricted areas and to those who cannot receive necessary health support in a short time. One of the main points of this process was that we choose and procured only the brand-new models from the market and made sure that the specifications given by WHO are all compliant and suitable with the climate and road condition of Ukraine.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SELECTED FOR THE AMBULANCES
Since we pay a great attention to the quality and best service possible, our medical equipment brand and model selection process was similar to vehicle brand and model selection. We worked with well-known and quality proven brands. All their quality documents, their validity, delivery times were considered deeply and we contacted brands with high technology and fast delivery. We choose the models according to the WHO registrations and made sure that all the equipment are compliant and in good use. Only brand-new medical equipment were selected just as in the vehicle purchase process. DELIVERY TIME OF THE AMBULANCES
The transportation of the ambulances took place in the early April, 2024. Upon the end of the production process, the WHO representatives were invited to the factory to see the end product before transportation. After the visit a third party inspection took place and we received the certificate that indicates everything in the ambulance is working and compliant with the project specifications. With all the processes and regulations completed, the transportation company loaded the ambulances on trucks and the project finished.
